Today we are going to flashback to one of our August weddings. Tina just sent me these photos, and I fell in love with this wedding all over again. Jena and Mike were married outside at a family friend’s beautiful estate in Sharptown, NJ. Their reception took place at Centerton Country Club. Jena was a gorgeous bride (understatement) – Mary and I were in love with the muted colors, thoughtful details, and selection of flowers we got to work with for her wedding!
Jena’s bouquet was stunning, just like her! We used lavander stock, pink ranunculus, pink garden spray roses (LOVE), parrot tulips, and some other local goodies that we hand picked ourselves. We framed the bouquet with white ostrich feather trim. Jena also gave us her mom’s wedding dress to use (awesome idea) so we of course wrapped her bouquet with some of the lace from her mom’s gown. Seriously, she dropped off the gown and said “Hack away!” AWESOME.
Jena and Mike – I loved Jena’s dress and her birdcage veil.
Check out her parasol, soooo pretty. Also note Mike holding her flowers, haha.
For the bridesmaids we use the pink garden spray roses, purple dahlias, green celosia, lavender stock, and parrot tulips. Check out the lace on the bouquet wrap…it is a sleeve from Jena’s mom’s wedding dress!
Jena and one of her hotttt bridesmaids!
We added rose petals to this fountain near the ceremony at the last minute, we just couldn’t help ourselves.
This curved wall framed the ceremony area so we dressed it up with pillar candles in cylinders and some fresh flowers.
Half of the centerpieces were done in this silver bowl (a rental item). They are arranged in a separate dish so that guests can take them home at the end of the evening. We used white hydrangea, antique green hydrangea, lavender roses, pink garden spray roses, and scabiosa stellata pods. They turned out perfectly, very romantic!
For the other half of the centerpieces we used our bell vase with an arrangement of the antique hydrangea, pink roses, lavender roses, and hanging green amaranthus.
We hung the tables numbers in the bottom of the vase….with ‘ribbons’ we cut from Jena’s mom’s wedding dress.
Centerton Country Club has a raised stage that they set the sweetheart table on. We used two of our pillars filled with hydrangea and curly willow as a screen behind the couple. We added lavender dahlias, pink hanging crystals, and mirrors.
Centerton uplit the curly willow screen and it really looked amazing.
We really had nothing to do with this cake…but I thought it was so different and adorable that I had to include a picture.
We added some black ostrich feather trim to our silver birdcage (a rental item).
Jena and Mike, thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful day. We loved seeing it all come together and wish the two of you all the best on your future together! Thanks again for the photos Tina Jay Photography!
