Cape May Wedding Florist - Katy and Eric at The Southern Mansion

Our life at A Garden Party has been a whirlwind lately! We have been doing so many new and fun things lately. We enjoyed a family vacation (yes, Mary  and I even vacation together) to Cape May and then we had an absolute blast with Holly Chapple at a floral workshop.  The amount of creativity that swirled around her flower shop was so inspiring!  We are honored to be members of the Chapel Designers and we are so excited about all of the things we have learned and are so ready and eager to learn more from our fellow designers.  This weekend we are working with a group of amazing vendors on a Wizard of OZ inspired photo shoot.  Coming out with new ideas and designs has been so much fun for us.  Vacationing in Cape May reminded me of the many gorgeous weddings we have done at The Southern Mansion.  I have been holding on to these photos from a wedding last August, from RHM Photography, one of our favorite shore photographers, and wanted to take a little time today to share this wedding with all of you.

Katy carried a bouquet of light blue hydrangea, white spray roses, green fern, light blue delphinium, and white sweetpea. I kinda love this vintage clock!  The Southern Mansion is full of tons of little gems like this.

Close up of the bouquet.  I love the soft texture of this bouquet and the fern accents.

We popped the ceremony site with a splash of color from yellow sunflowers.

Sunflowers, nestled in with some light blue hydrangea = pure perfection.  Perfect for a sunny, August day.

Sunflower heads also lined the aisle.

And now they are Married!

Katy provided all these amazing little vessels for us to place flowers in.  We got a little crazy with it and added fun flowers like craspedia and green trick dianthus.

The colored glass with wildflowers really looked stunning on the sunlight veranda at The Southern Mansion.

I am always so amazing at the perfection seen in flowers when studied close up.  How gorgeous are these?!?

The tables were all named after local South Jersey Shore towns.

So simple and sweet!

The cake featured a cascade of blue and white hydrangea.  Stunning!

And I couldn't end this blog with out including the amazing shot from RHM Photography. Love it!

Keep following us on facebook....I am sure we will be posting some behind the scenes shots this weekend from our Oz photoshoot!
