So much has happened since this July wedding in Atlantic City! Today we're featuring Tara and Steve at the Chelsea hotel...you may recognize Tara as the other wonderful bride who was featured in our BeFilms promotional video. She was a lovable woman with a diva taste that we were more than happy to comply with...and we've heard she's expecting a little baby boy!! Congratulations to your growing family!!
Thank you so much to LuRey Photography (who we love love love love LOVE) for sending and sharing these photos of fuchsia arrangements and rhinestone accents. Any future brides need to check out LuRey's blog...they will make you look like a princess in every shot, their work is fabulous!
Tara's bridal bouquet was a mix of white and pink peonies with pink and ivory garden roses. Her bridesmaids carried fuchsia dendro orchids, dark purple carnations, purple stock, dark purple roses and magenta spray roses.
We switched it up for Steve's groomsmen, giving them bouts made of purple calla lilies, wrapped in hot pink ribbon with a rhinestone accent.
All the men together, looking fresh!
Tara and Steve's ceremony space was so eye-catching, luxurious, and bursting with color and glam. We stuffed as many magenta pink hydrangea into these tall purple vases as we could, and added rhinestone collars to the bases. Setting two of the arrangements on our mirrored pedestals really added great dimension. Floating candles in cylinder vases and petals lined all the way down the white and silver aisle runner were the perfect finishing touches. We love that they chose to create a space that would draw so much attention to the front as they said their vows, this is definitely one for the books!
Tara didn't keep all the details up front. She even ordered these mirrored vases with pink and purple hydrangea, purple roses, and purple stock with silver branches at the start of the aisle. Our girl knows how to make an entrance!
For the cocktail hour, we used these great purple sequined linens at the high top tables, and mixed varieties of flowers in mirrored vases. Of course we needed to add these crystal cubed candle holders to keep up with Tara's theme.
Here's a closer look at the purple carnations at one of the high tops.
A better look at the whole space coming together!
No way was the couple not going to maximize use of their ceremony decor! We brought these tall vases outside to reuse as centerpieces, and they still look just as good!
Yes, you're seeing that correctly...we put kissing balls made of different colored carnations to float in the pool! There was literally no space left untouched.
Congratulations, Tara & Steve!! Best of luck on your journey into parenthood!!
Tara's Bride Diaries
We know things don't always go as planned...Were there any entertaining wedding bloopers?
We had a 15 minute downpour in the middle of our OUTSIDE reception! But we made the best of it and got some awesome "dancing in the rain" pictures. My dress ended up completely black at the bottom, but we still had a great time!
Cake or cupcakes? What was the flavor and theme?
Cake. We had 2 flavors-- raspberry/chocolate ganache filling with vanilla cake and then a coconut cake with mango filling. YUMMY!
We always try to bring your floral dreams to life...did we succeed? In what ways? Is there any room for improvement?
You BEYOND exceeded. Everything was truly amazing and beautiful. Mary really understood the look I was going for and made it look 100x better than I could have ever imagined in my head. You guys made my wedding what it was, took a blank space and really made it ME. I loved it more than I could ever put into words.
