The sun is shining, the temperature is rising and we are basking in the glory of these bright days! FINALLY. Today we are featuring Shannon and Scott's wedding at Running Deer Golf Club. The blue and pink hues of this wedding are the epitome of spring, and we love the bold, bright colors of Shannon's style. Alimario Photography is always a breath of fresh air, and we are thrilled anytime that we know he will be featuring our work. It's not hard to tell by the photos why we love him so much and how much fun this wedding was. We welcome you to take a look and enjoy the bursts of color to match this beautiful May day!
Great shot, T!
We love how relaxed and happy this couple looks during their formal shots!
Scott's bout was a peach ranunculus with some waxflower, wrapped in ivory ribbon.
Shannon's bridesmaids carried bunches of coral tulips for their bouquets, and their navy blue gowns were the perfect backdrop to really make them pop.
So sweet! Shannon and Scott's son had the honorable duty of ring bearer on their wedding day.
Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating for Shannon and Scott's wedding day, so we had to move the ceremony inside - thankfully, Running Deer is well equipped and we worked our magic to create a special altar space for the couple to say their vows.
We looooved these hanging tulips- it was such a different look! The corner piece of ranunculus, delphinium, tulips and waxflower was the perfect fit for this spring wedding.
Here is a great twist to the submerged flower! These bright tulips looked amazing submerged in water, and topped with floating candles to create a romantic sweetheart table.
The cake table was placed inside the ceremony arch and was surrounded by the bridesmaids bouquets, making it a real statement piece for the reception. Stella Baking Company did an incredible job with the lace print, and we added more tulips to bring the whole look together for this delectable dessert!
Congratulations, Shannon and Scott! We are so so happy for your family!
Shannon's Bride Diaries
What was the most standout, "Wow!" moment of your wedding day?
The biggest wow moment for me was how the arch looked with the flowers. Being as I did not plan to have the wedding inside I did not plan to well for how I wanted it to look inside. I loved how the tulips dangled!
We know things don't always go as planned...Were there any entertaining wedding bloopers?
We had two ring bearers, our son and my husbands cousin. Our son was not having any part of walking down the aisle last minute, so we had him walk down with the best man instead. Our son loved that, and he did a great job holding the "daddy here comes mommy" sign. Then, the other ring bearer looked miserable walking down the aisle by himself. (Entertaining thought).
Also, I ended up being a blubbering mess during the ceremony. Which caused me to make the comment "I'll try" when the officiant stated "now you repeat after me", which had everyone laugh, then my son asked LOUDLY why is mommy crying, which had the audience laugh again.
Any wedding toasts that made you laugh til you cried? Cry your eyes out? Gasp in shock?
My maid of honor had me crying! And the best man had us laughing explaining that my husband is now my problem.
We don't judge! Did you have any Bridezilla moments of weakness?
Only when it came to being organized.
Cake or cupcakes? What was the flavor and theme?
We had lace print on the cake with real tulips.
We always try to bring your floral dreams to life...did we succeed? In what ways? Is there any room for improvement?
Yes, I loved how the bouquets came out for myself and my bridesmaids. I also loved the men's boutonnieres
