The Towne of Historic Smithville is a quaint little cluster of shops and boutiques in Absecon, New Jersey. Visitors compare their trips to a step back in time, with cobblestone pathways and ivy climbing the brick walls of storefronts. This is a place where stores are called "shoppes" and the beautiful gardens bloom for a picturesque view of Lake Meone.
It's no wonder that Liz and Brian chose the Historic Smithville Inn as their wedding venue - the atmosphere is filled with an old-fashioned type of love, and we were so happy to be a part of it. We absolutely, truly adored this couple - they are just good people, and it showed in every interaction we had with them. Stephanie of Saltwater Studios was the photographer for this event, and we are once again in awe of the sheer amount of personality, beauty and detail she manages to capture in her work. Looking at weddings by Saltwater Studios you aren't just looking at documentation - you truly feel like a part of the event.
Take a look at Liz and Brian's beautiful wedding, below!
Liz's bridesmaids carried similar, yet smaller, versions of her bouquet.
Brian was such a sweet groom - he even ordered a surprise flower arrangement to send with his card to his soon-to-be bride.
We made simple spray rose bouts for Brian and his groomsmen.
There is an adorable little carousel along featured in the Towne of Smithville that gave this bridal party the perfect, fun backdrop.
Total friend envy going on right now, would totally love to hang with this crew! The beautifully manicured landscaping, trees, and view of the lake all contributed to this ceremony set-up. We loved being able to play off of nature and add this corner piece to the pergola. Limelight hydrangea, pink lisianthus, Queen Anne's Lace, sweet autumn clematis and curly willow made up this sweet and pretty piece.
We love how most of these wedding photos show Liz and Brian laughing together - they were so joyful and always seemed to be having fun.
Huge windows serve as walls for the Smithville Inn, helping guests stay connected with the natural beauty. Liz chose varied centerpieces for her decor, which we always love!
Here is our compote design, made up with spray roses, dahlias, garden roses, astilbe and some sprawling greenery for a garden look.
Cascading cake flowers are the best kind! This lovely flow was put together with garden roses, dahlias, and lisianthus and set on a bed of olive leaves.
