Emily and Todd had perfect weather on their wedding day, enhancing all of the greenery and landscaping that is part of what makes Jasna Polana so appealing.  The sod growing on these long stone steps brings a very old-world, classic feel to the venue.

Our willow arch was used for the couple's ceremony, and we were giddy to be able to design with Emily's vision.  Our bride wanted wild and gardeny florals, and strands of fairy lights really brought it to life.  We wanted this arch to be an extension of nature's fall performance, and are so happy with how it turned out.  At the last minute, a podium was added, and it served as a great excuse to create a central point to the design with vines winding their way up and down the stand.

No big deal, just some fireworks to start off the reception after the couple's vows.

Jasna Polana has an interior just as stunning as its exterior.  This grand marble staircase is set up for grand entrances, and we made sure to take advantage with dozens and dozens of floating candles.

The couple's placecard table was lined with mini bottles of champagne as favors for guests.  We dressed it up with a fun linen, diana candleholders and a gorgeous arrangement of persimmon, dahlias, roses, hydranges, and foliage.

Our mirrored sign read, "Among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars," to inspire guests to dance the night away in romance just like in The Great Gatsby.

How cozy does this roaring fire look?!  This ornate mantle was softened a bit with gold mercury votives, and a garland of magnolia and eucalyptus leaves.

Emily's centerpieces were designed in brass compotes, and incuded persimmons, berries, succulents, dahlias, garden roses, foliage and magnolia leaves.  Brass and pewter candlestick holders with navy taper candles finished the polished look.

These cake flowers were the finishing touches to a day filled with fall florals.  Yellow and pink roses, ranunculus, red berries, and deep red leaves decorated each layer and formed a garland for a truly seasonal look.

Emily's Bride Diaries

"As a bride I had 3 major wishes for my dream wedding which were flowers, photography and good food.  I ended up with all 3!---and two (Photography and Flowers) were beyond what I could have hoped for going into my wedding day.  It was a beautiful day and A Garden Party went above and beyond to make sure the decorations were every bit as stunning as our venue.  My favorite parts of working with Dawn and Mary were 1.) How responsive they were during wedding planning and 2.) that I could easily collaborate with them on my vision.  I knew that we had a similar aesthetic, so it was easy to give them a general direction then let them loose to plan the floral and candle elements of my wedding.  I was not disappointed, the results were so much better than I could have imagined.

The day of the wedding, Mary went above any beyond with her floral bag of tricks.  Our officiant had opted not to use the large podium provided by the venue as it seemed too executive, but she still needed something to rest her papers.  We ended up finding a iPad stand, but it was a real eyesore under the ethereal arch of flowers that A Garden Party had created for us.  But within minutes, Mary had the stand encased with leaves and flowers to compliment the arch and the eyesore was transformed into another floral standout!"
