Princeton Wedding Florist : Sarah & Steven at Jasna Polana

Today's blog features our second event at Jasna Polana in Princeton, NJ.  Jasna Polana is an incredible venue, impressive in every sense of the word.  The giant iron gates, marble floors, and regal staircase gives the type of castle-like theme that every inner princess dreams of for her wedding day.   Fully living up to the idea of a girl and her prince charming were Sarah and Steven.  Sarah even sings, as required in every fairy tale! (No, really, she can sing.  Check her out!

We have to tip our hats to Mary Bradley Events for so smoothly coordinating this event - not only did she compose a timeline and orchestrate it without a hitch, she also has a lot of credit for suggesting some of the beautiful decor elements you'll find yourself fawning over (we promise!)

Please enjoy these simply beautiful images from Caroline Frost Photography, below!

Sarah's bouquet was a plethora of pure white blooms - garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, and sweet pea were made to look even more stark against touches of seeded euc, dusty miller and hints of greenery.

Sarah's bridesmaids wore the palest shade of lavender to go with the cooler color scheme.  Their bouquets had blue hydrangea, sweet pea, lisianthus and dusty miller to bring out the tones of their gowns.

This amazing ceremony space at Jasna Polana is such a great use of natural elements.  We love the how the entire ground space is made up of sod, and could there be a more spectacular back drop than that forest??  The stone elements found in the columns with planters, gazebo, and bordering walls help make this a very clean and polished look.

We used our large grey urns for the ceremony decor, connecting them with branches, and loose flowers to create an arch for the couple to stand under.  Roses, hydrangea and ivy helped soften the look of the curly willow.

There's that staircase we were talking about!  Lined with dozens of floating candles, it serves as another perfect backdrop for this wedding's decor.  Here we're featuring the guest book table, with scattered votives and tapered candles lighting up the card box and guest book.  Scattered smilax, pewter pieces with rose heads, and a pewter champagne bucket holding an arrangement of white orchids, roses, and greenery complete this serene setting.

Rentals from our vintage furniture collection brought the table layout to life, with vinyl lettering set on our mirrored wooden doors.  Our side table was filled with candles, greenery, roses and ranunculus to dress up the corner and create an inviting spot for guests to find their seating arrangement.

This reception room is to die for!  Sarah and Steven added draping to the ceiling for an extra dramatic flair, with string lights bringing even more ambiance to a room filled with candleight.  Jasna already provided the giant planters with trees dazzled with more string lights to brighten up the room and break up the window space.

Rented wooden farmhouse tables from Rustic Drift warmed the room against the marble floors.  We also loved the chair detail Sarah and Steven requested, with greenery embellishing their "Mr" and "Mrs" signs.

We used two different types of centerpieces for this event.  For the long tables, we created a garland of eucalyptus, and dressed it up with dozens of silver mercury votives, elevated votives and vases with candles.  The contrast of the low garland with the taller candle holders made the tablescape much more appealing.  Pieces of rosemary served as napkin detail at each guests' place.

For the round tables, we had fun with these terrarium-inspired bubble bowls, with airplants, garden roses, dusty miller, brunia berries, and ranunculus.  Gold mercury votives, elevated votives and rose heads completed the look.

And of course, we finish with dessert!  Giant airplants and olive branches decorated the table and cake, with a few floating candles and votives.
