The picturesque town of Cape May, NJ is full of history and charm. It is the ideal location for couples who are looking for a venue that is full of personality, with the laid back vibe that comes with a beach town. Lauren and Adam's wedding at the Peter Shields Inn in downtown Cape May was just that - an intimate affair, on the smaller scale as far as guests, but full of love and character.
Gabriela Urda Photography sent us these images from this event, giving us a great look at the details found in Lauren and Adam's special day. Enjoy!
Lauren's bouquet had a bit of a vintage feel to it, with ivory roses, ranunculus and pink lisianthus gathered in a rounded style. White clematis gave it a twist with their unique shape, and touches of greenery added just the right amount of contrast to the more muted tones.
Love the bowtie, Adam! Adam's bout was made with a white ranunculus, touch of berries and a small stem of seeded eucalyptus
Lauren and Adam's guest list was made up of only about 30 people. This means they were able to take advantage of the adorable entrance of the Peter Shields Inn for their ceremony, opting to drape a mixed greenery garland around the balcony and railing. We added white cherry blossoms to help coordinate with the white pillars and chairs, and the blooming garden landscape set up the perfect altar space.
Lauren's flowergirls carried baskets with moss accents for their petals. They did a great job!
We continued using some vintage inspired arrangements for the couple's reception decor, with dish arrangements full of white hydrangeas, veronica, garden roses and sweet pea. Gold candlesticks with elegant white taper candles gave a polished finish to the tablescape, and coordinated perfectly with the gold rimmed chargers and stemware.
The final touch for Lauren and Adam's reception was this beautiful white and gold wedding cake. The clean lines with the small flourishes fully encompassed the theme of their day - simply sweet and full of character.
Congratulations, Lauren and Adam!
