Michelle and Mitch's wedding at Catering by Masso's was a bright and sunny affair. Bold blue and cheery yellow tones made up this colorful palette, made even brighter by Dana Zarin Photography's talented skill set. The scheme seems to fit our gorgeous weather, so if you weren't already enjoying this sunny day, these sunflower-filled images will be sure to change that!
Sunflowers are such a comforting flower. Not just for their warm, golden glow, but also because of how recognizable they are as a plant. Designing with sunflowers is a unique challenge, because the entire arrangement must coordinate with this large, distinct flower - while at the same time making it personalized and special for each client.
For Michelle's bouquet, we used greenery, yellow and white alstroemeria, white gerber dasies and yellow solidago - the beautiful white roses and white lace wrap dressed up this bouquet to make it fit for a bride.
Michell'es bridesmaids carried bouquets similar to her own, with some added blue delphinium to coordinate with their gorgeous royal blue gowns.
Mitch's groomsmen wore small sunflower bouts, with stems of blue nigella to coordinate with the ladies. Mitch himself wore a bout made with white spray roses and nigella to stand out from his groomsmen.
How lovely is the couple's daughter?? This darling flowergirl carried a basket of blue delphinium petals to toss - a vibrant choice compared to the standard rose petals.
The couple's reception space was simple and sweet. The decor was mostly made up with scattered mason jars brimming with sunflowers, delphinium, alstro and solidago.
Congratulations, Michelle and Mitch! Thank you for having us be a part of your special day!
