Chesterfield Wedding Florist : Courtney & Charlie at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms

We truly believe magic resides at the Inn at Fernbrook Farms.  There always seems to be a rockstar combination of vendors, and -not to toot our own horn - but our work in this setting always has us doing a team-wide pat on the back!

Courtney and Charlie's wedding was incredibly special and exciting for us.  The couple resides in California, so not only were we honored that they trusted us with their vision from a different timezone, but also that they allowed us to have a hand in virtually every aspect of their event decor and detailing.  When these gems of opportunities come along, we make sure to pull out all the stops, and we are so so proud of the end result.

Courtney and her mom made it very clear to us the importance that the flowers held to them as part of the wedding decor.  We were thrilled to have clients who were so enthused by our philosophy that flowers set the tone for the theme, the ambiance of an event.  Courtney's bouquet was the first step in showcasing our work, and it is the perfect representation of how the day went.  A cascading arrangement of anemones, garden roses, smilax, clematis and protea proved to be the cornerstone for this lovely garden theme.

Courtney's bridesmaids carried bouquets of dahlias, roses and clematis to coordinate with their beaded blush gowns.

Charlie and his groomsmen looked incredibly dapper in their blue jackets, tan slacks and grey-blue ties.  We complemented the look with bouts of rose heads and touches of seeded eucalyptus.

A match made in heaven - and seriously, come ON with that bouquet!!  Definitely makes the books as one of our faves!

Courtney and Charlie's ceremony space was like stepping into a dream.  Pillars marked the entrance, supporting urns filled with hydrangea, smilax, amaranthus and dahlias.  Rose petals lined the aisle, leading the couple to a magnificent floral wall for what was probably the most romantic altar set up we've seen to date.

Of course, the ivy-wrapped trees and setting of the Inn at Fernbrook is what took this scene from beautiful to magical.

GUYS.  We can not play this cool.  This was beyond cool - this was amazing!  We are bursting with pride as we re-live how stem by stem we pieced together this statement piece.  Garden roses, O'hara roses, hydrangea, amaranthus, eucalyptus, dahlias, spray roses, astilbe and more looked as though they were climbing up the stone backdrop of this enchanting ceremony space.

Courtney's vision for her wedding was to look like an overgrown garden.  We loved playing into the existing elements of the Inn at Fernbrook, making all the elements fit together.  Small touches, like the above pinecone accents to hold down the wedding programs, all played a part in making sure her vision was brought to life.

The couple's placecard table was just as pretty to look at before and after the cards were taken by their owners.  Custom geometric namecards were strung along ribbon tails, all hanging from our iron rack.  Vines were entwined around the frame to tie in the twin arrangements of dahlias, astilbe, ferns and dahlias.

This pretty lounge area was placed in the gardens for wandering guests to enjoy - our vintage furniture, mixed with our terrarium coffee table was just the right balance of lush garden with elegance.  When orders like this come through, we love picking through our rental collection for little knick knacks that will fit in with the set, adding our flair, our love for the refurbished.

And the grand finale to the lounge setting?  Trees!  Yes, we really brought in these crepe myrtles, dressed up in whiskey barrels with vines and string lights to set up a natural "room."

And now for the reception space!  Endless details came together to create these romantic tablescapes, geared toward making the guests feel truly honored to be a part of such a special party.  The eclectic mix of gold-beaded chargers, mercury bud vases, compote centerpieces and fern napkin details were all balanced by the clean lines of specialty linens.

This elevated floral arrangement made the head table look like royalty.  A wild and natural looking garland ran both above and in front of the guests, with pure white candles running down the length of the table. Hanging gold mercury votives brought the romance to the next level.

A huge congratulations to Courtney and Charlie, and best wishes for their marriage!  Thank you, thank you, thank you for letting us fly free and having us be a part of such a special day!
