Dawn and  Mary both create boards for wedding ideas they love. They also are willing to create boards for bride’s who need some inspiration. If you want Dawn and Mary to love you forever, create a wedding board before or after your floral consultation and share it with them. Don’t include just flowers. They want to see all your wedding details including dress ideas, cake ideas and favor ideas. (In case you haven’t noticed, Dawn and Mary love everything about weddings. Seeing all the details helps them get a better sense of your overall theme and style, so they create flowers that coordinate.)

This is my all time favorite fall aisle. The burlap, mums, and sunflowers are the perfect combination.

Sunflowers are a classic fall flower. Plus, I love mason jars.

This design is simple and beautiful.

BURLAP SIGNS – “Just Married” & “Sweet Treats” – Burlap pennants 10” x 7”,stencil letters painted on the burlap, jute sewn on across the top & on the ends to hang them up.

BURLAP PETAL CONES – each cone was made from 2 – 7” circles of burlap, sewn around the edge, and turned; then wrapped into a cone shape and hand stitched to hold. A ribbon loop was sewn into the top & finished off with a small bow. Filled with colorful petals by A Garden Party.

BURLAP drawstring CANDY BAGS w/ tags – Small drawstring burlap bags were made to be filled with candy at the candy bar. Each bag had a round “canning jar” tag that read: “Love is Sweet – Rachael & Connery 10.30.10”. Each bag was finished with a jute drawstring, and canning tags stamped in orange, green & brown ink. The tags and the custom made stamp for the tags were purchased on Etsy.

BURLAP OVERLAYS – Burlap overlays covered all the tables, ivory over brown tablecloths, on the serving tables; and natural burlap over ivory tablecloths on the guest tables (provided by A Garden Party).

“Bride” & “Groom” CHAIR MARKERS – Wooden hearts stenciled with “Bride”& “Groom”, hanging on the back of the bride and grooms chairs.

DIRECTIONAL ARROWS – Wooden signs/arrows for guests to find their way around: Signs included: Connery & Rachael’s Wedding, Reception, Ceremony, Restrooms, Ladies, Gentlemen, Smoking Area, Party, Parking.

PAPER FLOWERS – Paper Pompoms were made with 6 sheets of tissue paper, 2 shades of orange & ivory. The paper flowers decorated an old swing in the yard, the bar area, the photo booth, and the golf cart that the bride and groom rode off in after the ceremony.

WEDDING CLOTH Guest Book – Large ivory tablecloth with the following instructions for wedding guests: (pencils were provided and the messages were later embroidered) “Please Sign Our Wedding Cloth, In lieu of a Guest Book, we wanted to create our first family heirloom. Each message written and signed by our dear friends and family will be embroidered and sewn into one big memory of this very special day. We will look at it always, and think of y’all. Thank you, Rachael & Connery.”

THUMBPRINT TREE Guest Book – Drawing of a tree trunk & branches (no leaves), and instructions for guests to “leaf your thumbprint”. Three different color stamp pads and hand wipes were provided for the guests.

WEDDING ATTIRE – The entire bridal party wore Cowboy boots; and the girls also wore Flower Mohair Triangle Shawls, purchased on Etsy, handmade in Istanbul, Turkey.

THE CAKE – The brides’ aunt made THE WEDDING CAKE, it was a triple layer cake with butter cream icing; and 250 matching cupcakes. The cake topper came from the brides’ grandparents, and A Garden Party topped the cake and cupcakes with an assortment of matching flowers. Carved pumpkins adorned the cake table, each with a different carving. The carvings included a bride & groom silhouette, champagne glasses & a heart with 2 birds on a branch (to match the invitations).

HAY BALES – Hay bales decorated the inside of the ceremony gazebo, and the outer areas of the guest seating, and around the reception tent.

ENGRAVED BRICK – An engraved brick bearing the names of the bride and groom & wedding date, was placed in the ground at the gazebo, where the ceremony was held. This is something that Pratt Gardens does for all the weddings held there.

PHOTO BOOTH – The Photo Booth was decorated with a sheet of burlap, with “photo booth” stenciled down the side; flanked by 6 streams of paper pom poms on each side; a chalkboard easel identified the area, and small chalkboards & chalk were provided for guests to write a message to the bride and groom; an assortment of mustaches & lips on sticks, “Groucho Marx” glasses and other masks were provided for fun props; and, a stone bench for guests to sit on.

BAR MENU – The bar menu was written on small chalkboards (to match the photo booth), honey sticks stirrers were provided, for hot beverages.

INVITIATIONS – Invitation designs were purchased on Etsy, and printed locally. Table menus and Programs were made to match, and were printed on Ellie Pooh paper (Mr. Ellie Pooh LLC is an eco-friendly Fair Trade company making exotic gifts and paper made partially out of elephant poo!)

And one final story…when I asked Rebekah about the PacMan and PacWoman that greeted the guests as they entered the driveway I knew I was in for another amazing story.  Here it is, I just had to share it! From Rebekah:

“When Rachael was home, Connery had to do some training in the states and flew to NJ to spend the weekend here, meeting the rest of the family and friends. It was the weekend before Halloween and we were all going to a 80s themed party. So in true Rachael fashion, nothing can be done small scale, Rachael made the costumes – wood, cardboard, glue, nails, paint – I think it took her like 2 weeks to put them all together. This is how Connery met all of Rachael’s NJ friends, dressed as an oversized pacman..so we knew he was a good sport and would pretty much do anything for her. So, since it was Halloween weekend the following year they were getting married it was only fitting to pull them out and have someone wear them!”

Rachael was gorgeous!  Her bouquet featured locally grown dahlias, calla lilies, craspedia, tulips, and bittersweet.

We added these charms to each bouquet.  Each charm was slightly different – so unique!

The gazebo at Pratt Gardens looked amazing after we added some hanging mason jars with votives, and ribbons with flowers.

Adelina and Mike during their ‘first look’.  I love how the shades of orange in her bouquet match the fall leaves all around them…perfection.

Adelina was a stunning bride!  She carried a bouquet of peach finesse roses, orange spray roses, peach stock, orange protea, uhle fiddleheads and brunia berries.

We wrapped the stems all the way down with ivory ribbon.

Gotta love all the texture in this bouquet…and those peach finesse roses are amazing.

The bridesmaids wore chocolate brown dresses and carried bouquets of orange roses, orange and peach spray roses, orange protea, chocolate cosmos, brunia berries and uhle fiddleheads.

We wrapped the stems with chocolate brown ribbon and accented with orange pearl pins.

Adelina and Mike’s daughter Mia was sooo cute.  She carried this pomander made of green moss and accented with a few fall leaves and silk orange flowers.  We used silk flowers to keep it nice and lightweight for her.

For the bouts we used orange spray roses, brunia berries, and a fiddlehead.

To flank the couple during the ceremony we filled two of our pedestals with branches of fall leaves (we cut these ourselves!), hydrangea, amaranthus, protea, stock, and orange roses.

We hung peach finesse roses, stock and beech leaves with some sheer chocolate ribbon from the chairs.

Their ceremony was in the same room as the reception so we used the centerpieces to line the stage that their ceremony took place on.

A few peach finesse roses and beech leaves dressed up our card birdcage beautifully.

For the cocktail tables we used brown cubes filled with green moss, orange roses, and fiddleheads (in the shape of a heart <3)

The centerpieces were done in our silver bowls. I love these bowls, they are the perfect size for a tabletop centerpiece.  We filled them with green hydrangea, peach finesse roses, orange roses, peach spray roses, peach stock, beech leaves and glittered pods.

Each centerpiece had an ivory pillar candle in the center.

I loved these little pods that we glittered up with some copper glitter…just a touch of bling!

For the cake we used chocolate cosmos, spray roses and peach stock.

It is so rare to get a photo of either of us with the bride that I had to share this one….aren’t they beautiful!?!

Leah looks amazing.  I love her fur shrug, perfect for a November wedding!

Fall weddings are my favorite…I was a fall bride myself, and I love when couples venture outdoors for pictures.  Lia and Mike are a gorgeous couple and I love everything about this picture of the two of them.

Check out the fall color and the sunshine in this picture…gorgeous!

Lia carried a bouquet of white hydrangea, sunflowers, yellow gerber daisies, red dahlias, and red ranunculus.  Red and yellow are a fabulous color combination, especially for a fall wedding.

Here is a close up.  Look how amazing these colors are!!!

Such a bright, cheerful bouquet.  I love all the textures…and those ranunculus are amazing!

Gorgeous bridesmaid carrying a complimentary bouquet using the same flowers…her two tone dress is so pretty.

Lia and Mike had an outdoor ceremony.  Mary decorated this arbor on site and I love how it turned out.  She tied curly willow branches to the arbor and accented them with hydrangea, sunflowers, hanging red pepperberry, and dahlias.

We lined the aisle with rose petals and potted burnt orange mums wrapped in textured brown paper.

I had to end this blog with a photo of this PSU cake.  Lia was a huge Penn State fan so her and Mary hit it off immediately…and Mary LOVED this cake.  I think she was a little jealous she didn’t have one at her wedding!

Thank you Lia for sharing these pictures with us…I was setting up another wedding that morning, so I loved looking through these photos and seeing how it all turned out!  Today is technically a day ‘off’ for Mary and I…although I bet she is home working just like I am home blogging, haha.  I need to go play with my own little Leah now though….I have a 3 year old with tons of energy and she is begging to get outside and soak up some of that sunshine. Jillian’s bouquet featured one of my favorite roses, the quicksand rose.  To accent the roses we added eggplant mini calla lilies, orange mini calla lilies, and privet berry.  The quicksand rose is a gorgeous almost taupe colored rose, LOVE.  The privet berry was one of those last minute additions that we added because it was in season and our supplier recommended it.  I loved using it and can’t wait until it is available again.

We wrapped the bouquet with a family handkerchief…so pretty and meaningful.

Such a sweet couple; they were married at Saint Martin’s Church in Hammonton, NJ.

Here is Jillian with her bridesmaids.  The girls carried bouquets of orange and eggplant calla lilies. The eggplant calla lilies really helped tie in the purple dresses that the girls wore.

Jillian’s mom asked us to do up some coordinating flowers in one of her vases for her house.  The vase had etched calla lilies on it, so adding a stem of the orange calla lily into the vase was perfect.

I loved the table numbers these two came up with.  These little pumpkins were so pretty and were perfect for their fairytale theme.

We did a ring around the manzanita centerpieces of hydrangea, coffeebreak roses (another fav of mine!), quicksand roses, purple dahlias, orange waxflower, and privet berry. Look at those candy apples, Little Lee would dive right into that! I think the clear frames are for the photo booth print outs.

We hung votive candles, crystals and the quicksand roses in the branches.

I love how pretty these centerpieces looked in this room.  The colors were perfect, especially when the candles were lit.

As Mary and I finished up our 2010 photo album, it has been amazing to look back on all the weddings we have done.  It seems like every wedding we came across we were exclaiming ‘oh I loved this one!’….I think we just loved them all, haha!  2011 is shaping up to be an amazing year and I can’t wait to see what we come up with….bring it on!
