Drexelbrook, Philadelphia Area Wedding Florist: Tracey and ArianBy: admin

September has been a busy month for Mary and I, but we are enjoying every moment of it. The first weekend in September started with a bang, with not only Tiffanie's wedding at the Smithville Mansion, but also Tracey's wedding at Drexelbrook. Tracey was a great bride to work with and came prepared with lots of ideas. She chose purple as the main color for her flowers, and loved calla lilies so we put together a look that we hope she truly loved. She picked a beautiful venue for her ceremony and got married outside at Drexelbrook, on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Here are some shots of her flowers...

This was the bride's bouquet. It featured calla lilies, stephanotis, and lisianthus.

Tracey wanted fresh flowers to top her cake, instead of the standard cake topper. The flowers coordinated with the theme of her wedding and the cake was gorgeous.

Outside we flanked either side of the gazebo with these urns full of hydrangea, larkspur, roses, lisianthus, and snapdragons.

Smithville Mansion, South Jersey Wedding Florist: Tiffanie and DonaldBy: admin

Wedding season is back in full force and Mary and I are doing weddings every weekend. On Sept. 5th we had the pleasure of helping set up a gorgeous wedding at the Smithville Mansion. Tiffanie and Donald were a very fun couple to work with and Tiffanie, a wedding planner (http://www.epiphanyevents.com/) had a great vision of what her special day could be. The weather was gorgeous and we loved the final outcome. Mary and I had some ideas of our own and Tiffanie was eager to add some unique elements to her day. The final effect was stunning, with tons of hydrangeas and sunflowers helping to create a vintage, yet modern look.

A monogram 'S' signified the new couples' last name and the bride's bouquet took center state on the sweetheart table.

Chocolate Brown seems to be the new color this fall. These tablecloths were beautiful and really showed off the flowers well. Another great money saving tip is these vase rentals. This bride chose to use these vases on 1/2 of the tables and had her bridesmaid's just drop their bouquets in for a gorgeous final affect. The vases in the center are surrounded by attached votive candles which help add that romantic glow to the reception tent.

The other 1/2 of the tables had these tall silver flower towers (also a rental) topped with mounds of flowers and striking curly willow. The green hydrangeas, sunflowers, roses, and hanging amaranthus created just the look we were going for.

For the outdoor ceremony every other chair going down the aisle was accented with an orange gerber daisy tied with a chocolate satin bow.

Mary and I were so excited to try this out. The couple had an arbor and wanted to really play that up. We hung beaded crystal curtains on each side and glued in fresh flowers. It turned out better then we had even imagined and we can't wait to do this again. The beaded curtains are a rental and have endless options.

A Destination Wedding-yeah, we can handle that…By: admin

Dawn and I were honored that our dear friend Liz asked us to design her wedding flowers for her May nuptials in Florida. I gotta admit, I was a little nervous! How would we be able to deliver fresh and beautiful wedding flowers to gator-country from lil’ old Elmer, NJ?!?! Thankfully, Liz had seen some of our previous work done with silk flowers and suggested doing her wedding flowers with permanents! She was so confident in our ability, she even stated “I wouldn’t imagine going to Florida and depending on someone else to make my wedding flowers better than you!” Well, we were more than honored to play this special role in her wedding day. Her color scheme included hot pink, orange and green – a perfect combination for her beach-side ceremony. We used peonies, hydrangea, gerber daisies and some awesome orchids to throw in a touch of tropical. To finish off the look, we added beautiful shells tucked into these fun bouquets. You couldn’t even tell they were silk! See for yourself! For more pictures of our work and to hear about what some of our other amazing brides have said, check out our website! Thanks for reading! Congrats again to Liz and Jeff!

We designed a coordinating ceremony piece to be displayed at the top of an arbor, a perfect focal point for a beach-side ceremony.

South Jersey Wedding Florist: Transforming the great outdoors!By: admin

As a true nature lover, I love when brides chose to have an outdoor wedding reception.  Not only can an outdoor reception be truly beautiful, it presents a whole new challenge for Mary and I.  Allow me to introduce myself, I am Dawn (Colson) Clark…the other half to A Garden Party.  Mary and I have done quite a few outdoor events now, both ceremonies and receptions.  Transforming an outdoor space into a wedding venue is a challenge we have stepped up to many times now.  It is magical to watch an empty field or a family barn transform into some of the most beautiful wedding locations I have ever seen.

This wedding ceremony took place on a gently sloping hill overlooking a gorgeous golf course. The chairs were strung together with ribbon to form an aisle for the bride to walk down.

Here a barn was transformed into an amazing reception venue.  Using a family barn enabled this couple to have enough space to invite over 300 guests.

This wedding took place underneath a tent.  Bright colors and candlelight resulted in a stunning reception.
