National Constitution Center, Philadelphia Wedding Florist: The Perfect Philadelphia Wedding!By: admin

This past Saturday Mary and I got to do a wedding at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, PA. Clarisa was a beautiful bride, and we were lucky enough to deliver the bridal party flowers just in time to see her in her gown. Her bridesmaids wore purple gowns which showed off the vibrant orange and purple bouquets perfectly. Delivering to Philly is always exciting and this day was definitely full of lots of energy and excitement. The Constitution Center is a striking venue, with huge glass windows and expansive views of the city. To make sure the centerpieces fit the scale of the room we did 1/2 of the tables with our tall bell vases and the other 1/2 with a smaller coordinating bowl. Lots of floating candles and scattered rose petals helped to complete the look. It was a fun event and turned out gorgeous. Mary and I even got to enjoy a nice lunch in the city while we were waiting for the room at The Constitution Center to be set up. It was a perfect day; the flowers turned out gorgeous, the bride was glowing, and we had a relaxing lunch at Cuba Libre.

The bride carried an elegant all white bouquet of stock, orchids, calla lilies, snowberry, and rhinestone accents.

Smithville Mansion, South Jersey Wedding Florist: Tiffanie and DonaldBy: admin

Wedding season is back in full force and Mary and I are doing weddings every weekend. On Sept. 5th we had the pleasure of helping set up a gorgeous wedding at the Smithville Mansion. Tiffanie and Donald were a very fun couple to work with and Tiffanie, a wedding planner (http://www.epiphanyevents.com/) had a great vision of what her special day could be. The weather was gorgeous and we loved the final outcome. Mary and I had some ideas of our own and Tiffanie was eager to add some unique elements to her day. The final effect was stunning, with tons of hydrangeas and sunflowers helping to create a vintage, yet modern look.

A monogram 'S' signified the new couples' last name and the bride's bouquet took center state on the sweetheart table.

Chocolate Brown seems to be the new color this fall. These tablecloths were beautiful and really showed off the flowers well. Another great money saving tip is these vase rentals. This bride chose to use these vases on 1/2 of the tables and had her bridesmaid's just drop their bouquets in for a gorgeous final affect. The vases in the center are surrounded by attached votive candles which help add that romantic glow to the reception tent.

The other 1/2 of the tables had these tall silver flower towers (also a rental) topped with mounds of flowers and striking curly willow. The green hydrangeas, sunflowers, roses, and hanging amaranthus created just the look we were going for.

For the outdoor ceremony every other chair going down the aisle was accented with an orange gerber daisy tied with a chocolate satin bow.

Mary and I were so excited to try this out. The couple had an arbor and wanted to really play that up. We hung beaded crystal curtains on each side and glued in fresh flowers. It turned out better then we had even imagined and we can't wait to do this again. The beaded curtains are a rental and have endless options.

The Merion, South Jersey Wedding Florist: Last August…By: admin

For the first time in a few years Mary and I didn’t book any weddings for this August.  She just had the baby and we figured we would take a break before fall wedding season hits.  In browsing through some old photos I came across one of my favorite weddings. Courtney and Steve got married last year and their wedding turned out just gorgeous. I loved the bright colors Courtney picked out and she was such a fun bride to work with. Perfect Day Photography, http://www.perfectdayphotography.com/, was the photographer for her event and they got some really good shots of the flowers.
brides bouquet
Shades of orange, purple and fuschia perfectly reflected this bride’s fun personality. The bear grass looped around the bottom of the bouquet added that little something different to her bouquet.
bouquets
The bridesmaid’s bouquets were similiar to the bride’s, but smaller and with the bear grass looped over the flowers. Fuschia rhinestones were dotted on top of the flowers and added a little sparkle.
tall cp
Half of the centerpieces were done on our tall silver towers. The bright colors really lit up the room and made a huge impact.
short cp
The other half of the centerpieces were done in low silver bowls with coordinating flowers. Doing 1/2 tall and 1/2 short centerpieces really adds interest to the room, and is great on the budget.
cake
This cake turned out beautiful. The orange ranunculas were the perfect accent.

Philadelphia Wedding Florist: Hydrangea season is here!By: admin

About a month ago Mary and I had the pleasure of collaborating with Josie from JP Event Design, http://www.jpeventdesign.com, for their July ‘Event Inspiration’. JP Event Design is an event planning company out of Philadelphia. They stage weddings to showcase vendors so that potential brides can get a feel for what we have to offer. We had the honor of suppying florals for the event. Josie was great to work with and our good friend Tina over at Tina Jay Photography, http://www.tinajayphotography.com, photographed the event…it turned out gorgeous. Mary and I were excited, and took this opportunity to harvest hydrangeas off of Mary’s bushes….they have been in full bloom and were just begging to be cut and used. We made great use of them for this event; nothing makes more of a statement then hydrangeas, roses, and peonies. Here are some photos, courtesy of Tina (http://www.tinajayphotography.com) of course!

The bouquet turned out gorgeous. Check out the pearls wired over the bouquet. Little touches like this can add so much.
JP31
The green amaranthus really brings movement and elegance to the bouquet.

The coordinating centerpiece was done in one of our bell vases. The effect it creates is stunning.
JP66
What a great idea! Hanging the table number in the bottom portion of the vase is something we had never done before. There are so many options with this vase, everytime we use it we come up with something else.

Thanks to everyone involved and many thanks to Josie for inviting us to participate!
