Ocean City NJ Wedding Florist: A day at the shore…By: admin

It has been a few weeks since our last post, but we have been busy behind the scenes! Dawn and I (this is Mary!!) are enjoying our “off season”, and taking the time to reflect back on some of our favorite weddings of 2009. We talked about this wedding a little bit before, but I thought you might appreciate some of the new pictures we received from Tina. Isn’t she GREAT?!?! Of course I am biased, since she is one of my best tokens from my PSU years…but seriously, her work is inspiring. Nancy’s wedding was held in October at the Ocean City Yacht Club. We adored the nautical themed wedding, sporting cheerful red and yellow flowers. Nancy’s all white bouquet was jaw dropping, ifIdosaysomyself. Her centerpieces were what I call romantically modern. What would you call it? Anyway, without further ado….

Half of the tables were done with these candle holders. Bear grass was looped inside to add some interest and red rose petals were sprinkled on the table. The candle holders are a rental and a great way to keep your centerpiece price reasonable.

The other half of the tables featured this coordinating pedestal with red spray roses, yellow spray roses, bear grass, and croton leaves. They definately were eye catching, and coordinated perfectly with the theme.

Had to include this picture! Aren't those red bridesmaid dresses adorable!

National Constitution Center, Philadelphia Wedding Florist: The Perfect Philadelphia Wedding!By: admin

This past Saturday Mary and I got to do a wedding at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, PA. Clarisa was a beautiful bride, and we were lucky enough to deliver the bridal party flowers just in time to see her in her gown. Her bridesmaids wore purple gowns which showed off the vibrant orange and purple bouquets perfectly. Delivering to Philly is always exciting and this day was definitely full of lots of energy and excitement. The Constitution Center is a striking venue, with huge glass windows and expansive views of the city. To make sure the centerpieces fit the scale of the room we did 1/2 of the tables with our tall bell vases and the other 1/2 with a smaller coordinating bowl. Lots of floating candles and scattered rose petals helped to complete the look. It was a fun event and turned out gorgeous. Mary and I even got to enjoy a nice lunch in the city while we were waiting for the room at The Constitution Center to be set up. It was a perfect day; the flowers turned out gorgeous, the bride was glowing, and we had a relaxing lunch at Cuba Libre.

The bride carried an elegant all white bouquet of stock, orchids, calla lilies, snowberry, and rhinestone accents.

A Winter Wedding WonderlandBy: admin

Spring is here…..and I am loving it.  I love the warm weather, the longer days, and of course all the new growth in the garden.  BUT as florists, Mary and I like to find the beauty in any season.  We have been anxiously waiting for a bride to come to us with the dream of a winter wedding…and I think we finally got our wish.  One of Mary’s best friends, Sarah, is planning a January 2010 wedding and I can’t wait!  I already started browsing for some ideas and have come across so many gorgeous and creative ideas.  I can’t wait until we sit down with Sarah and really start brainstorming.  In the meantime, here is some of what I found and loved….hopefully we can talk some more brides into planning winter weddings!

Winter Wedding Cake

Check out this cake – I love the snowflake detail!

Winter Centerpiece

Don’t these centerpieces make you think of winter?!?  I love the hanging crystals!

Winter Favors

Such a cute idea….these could be used either as favors for the guests or just as a really creative seating card.

Winter Reception

I loved pretty much all of this….I could keep going, but who knows when I would stop!  There are so many creative, beautiful ideas out there for winter weddings.  Sarah – we can’t wait!
