Mary and I just got back from an amazing long weekend away in Vermont. It was freezing cold but we had a blast hanging out with friends, skiing, and even attempted some sledding (I thought about posting a few pics but didn't want anyone to be embarrased!). We are back now, gearing up for Valentine's Day. Check out our specials HERE and don't forget to enter to win our Valentine's Gift basket full of goodies HERE. As I waded through my inbox this morning I came across this e-mail from Dominique from a wedding we did on October 30th and I knew exactly what I would blog about today. I love a fun wedding...especially any wedding full of purple (my fav!) and peacock feathers (who doesn't love feathers?!?!). Dominique and Glenn were married at the Elmer United Methodist Church and had their reception following at The Pitman Golf Club (also known as Bogeys) in Sewell, NJ. Images by Gustav caught all these beautiful pics - thanks for letting us use them! Now on to the fun stuff :)
Dominique was a STUNNING bride. I loved everything about her bouquet. The bouquet featured terra cotta roses, purple anemone, red ranunculus, orange dahlias, purple stock, purple vanda orchids and of course peacock feathers. She wanted deep jewel tones and "nothing dead looking", which I still giggle about. I think it fits that bill!
At the church we framed the couple using our pillars with large centerpieces of dahlias, stock, hydrangea, delphinium and peacock feathers.
On the pews we hung the orange dahlias accented with ivy and a peacock feather.
The happy couple after they are officially married.
I always love the look of rose petals raining down on a couple as they exit the church...it just seems so happy!
Glenn and Dominique with the bridesmaids. The bridesmaids wore beautiful long navy gowns and carried bouquets of vanda orchids, orange dahlias, anemone and touches of feathers.
Dominique has the most gorgeous smile.
We dressed up our silver birdcage with some navy ribbon and peacock feathers.
Feathers, orange dahlias, and puple stock sure do make this cake striking!
For the centerpieces we used our tall bell vase. The flowers included orange dahlias, hydrangea, terra cotta roses, and stock. We hung the table number (engagement photos) in the vase with a peacock feather. Wish we had a close up of that!
Thanks Dominique and Glenn for letting us be a part of your day. We hope it was all you dreamed of!
