**Sorry for the delay in blogging, as we recently switched servers and are doing some minor construction! Thanks for being so understanding!** As A Garden Party’s vendor series comes to an end (don’t worry, there are other exciting posts ahead), I’d like to share with you one of A Garden Party’s favorite venues. Ron Jaworski’s Running Deer Golf Club, located in Pittsgove, NJ, is perfect for wedding receptions and showers (Mary even had her own baby shower there!). The setting is beautiful, the staff is excellent, and the food is delicious. This week I had the opportunity to talk to Heather McCall, the director of catering and events. Check out all the juicy details she shared.
Why should engaged couples choose your services? When you commit to Running Deer, we commit to you as well. From the moment you walk in the door for your first champagne tour until the last guest leaves after your reception, we endeavor to make the experience easy, enjoyable and personal.
What makes your business stand out? What do you do better than your competition? We are not a wedding factory (SO TRUE). Rather, a wedding at Running Deer is completely customizable, from start to finish. We understand that every bride, every groom, and every wedding is unique, and we work diligently to ensure that the wants and needs of all are not only met but also exceeded. We have indoor and outdoor facilities, both of which offer guests amazing views and classy, luxurious accommodations. All of our packages also include the fabulous Running Deer Chocolate Indulgence Room, for that added special touch. Running Deer really is unique, and that one-of-a-kind identity helps us to understand how to better serve our individual brides and grooms. What do we do better than our competition? Well, we are confident that the answer to that is “just about everything.”
Why did you want to enter the wedding industry? When Ron and Liz Jaworski took over Running Deer, they knew it was meant to be more than a golf club. They had enjoyed success with weddings and banquets at Valleybrook Country Club (Blackwood NJ) and knew that the opportunity for even more success was there at Running Deer. The beautiful club house, which includes three beautiful banquet and meeting rooms, is one of the most welcoming in the industry. Running Deer entered the wedding industry not just because we are good at it but also because we love it! Our motto is “pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.”
What is your favorite part of being involved in weddings? We love the satisfaction of seeing a wedding go off without a hitch. My absolute favorite part with the bride is seeing her first enter the room on her wedding day and seeing all of her ideas put together. My favorite part with the groom is being able to see his reaction when the bride walks down the aisle. While everyone is watching the bride, I think it is amazing to see the groom’s face as he realizes this is such a special day for him as well! It is one of the best feelings in the world to see every person leave Running Deer with a smile on their face!
Is this a family owned business? Running Deer is owned and operated by Ron Jaworski Management, LLC. The Jaworskis have been in the golf/catering industry for over 30 years!
What advice would you offer to engaged couples looking for a vendor who provides your services? Make sure it is a venue that will tailor a ceremony or reception to your needs!
What general advice would you offer engaged couples? Enjoy the process of planning your wedding. It is easy to get tied up and stressed out with all that goes into a wedding but staying organized and having a timeline will help tremendously! Remember this is YOUR day so surround yourself with great vendors that will facilitate the planning.
