Swedesboro NJ Wedding Florist: Alyssa & Joe at Rode’s Fireside
I looove this wedding!! I love the color scheme, the venue, the bride, the photos, the textures, the centerpieces, the ceremony, ALL OF IT! Where do I even begin??
Obviously we thank Alyssa and Joe for choosing to work with us and for Alyssa's excellent taste, which we had so much fun portraying on her wedding day.
A shout out to Amie Schroeder Photography, not only for taking such amazing photographs, but then for passing them on to us so we could share them with you! Not only are they fantastic pictures that bring you right into the moment, but there are so many of them, and I am just loving how they look vintage-y and cool and perfect. Please do yourself a favor and check out more of her work so you can really appreciate the talent.
Owned by Alyssa's parents is Rode’s Fireside, the rustic restaurant venue in Swedesboro NJ that makes you feel right at home. I mean that very literally. Just check out their stone fireplace with the mantle and tell me you couldn't pull up a chair and get comfortable. Behind the restaurant, they own a huge barn open for events. Pinterest had a dream that we would work there, and this wedding is that dream come true.
We weren't the only ones who loved the style and arrangements for Alyssa and Joe's wedding. It was actually selected as a Feature on Style Me Pretty, a huge honor which we hoped was used to inspire more brides to embrace this natural, wildflower feel. To have a platform to spread our work is such a privilege and we congratulate all the vendors for this event for working together to get there.
And last, but certainly, without-a-doubt not least is Kyle Michelle Weddings, the ever fabulous wedding planners who really helped to pull this day off. Hiring the right wedding planner can be a huge lifesaver, not just for the brides, but for the vendors as well.
Alyssa's bridesmaids had a touch of bright yellow in their wildflower mix, and all are glowing in their short, dark purple dresses!
Joe's bout was made of berries wrapped in twine.
Here's that fireplace we were talking about! Setting the mantle with Alyssa's gold frames and draping Spanish moss across the bottom really made it a statement piece, rather than just placing the vases by themselves. (Yes, Joe is playing the guitar...because he's in a band. Could they be even cooler? We even stole the video from Kyle Michelle's website of him singing his vows to his new bride. Swoon.)
We seriously can't get over how perfect this couple was for us. I mean, the tractor? C'monn, right into this farm girl's heart.
Just when you thought we were turning it down for this willowy branch, we added some hanging candle holders with some great intricate detail on the sides.
These log vases boasted pheasant feathers, hydrangeas, dahlias, berries, grasses, moss and thistle.
These gorgeous centerpieces still make me smile! Usually portrayed in more simple arrangements, we really dressed the sunflowers up and had our vases bursting with them.
