Attention Brides!! We love The Hotel DuPont!!! The first word that comes to mind is: Majestic. It's ballroom is jaw-dropping, with high ceilings and incredibly ornate details. It has chandeliers, a huge open floor space, and decorated ceiling. The Hotel DuPont does everything except put the crown on your head to make you feel like modern day royalty. We are so beyond honored to be on the recommended list for this Wilmington, DE landmark and can't wait to deliver more weddings here. Our bride, Shannon, nabbed this amazing venue and we were lucky enough to work with her to add our own touches of grandeur. This girl's got some good taste!!
Shannon and David have an especially romantic introductory story that I have to share with you. The two met at a rehearsal dinner for a wedding they were both a part of...they literally started their relationship walking down the aisle together. One year later, they were happily engaged and less than 5 months after that they were walking down the SAME AISLE as bride and groom!!!! They are now expecting their first child and we're grabbing the tissues because this is just too much good stuff.
Jeff Anderson Photography did some excellent work, and today we're featuring more photographs than usual because we just couldn't cut down our favorites.
The bridemaids' bouquets were made of agonis foliage, red tulips, and dusty miller wrapped in red velvet. We just love how Shannon took a different spin on winter flowers to let us create something a little less traditional.
Gold sequined tablecloth? We told you she had good taste! The base of the birch branches are covered with our floating candles, white roses, hydrangeas, and tulips, making that gold pop even more.
Can't get enough of this placecard table.
This ballroom takes our breath away. What an incredible space.
Ordering a subtle linen, such as cream or ivory, gives such a different feel than keeping them white. It's a simple and easy way to add some sophistication.
Shannon chose to mix high and low centerpieces, each with seeded euc, evergreens, and white tulips.
We added these gorgeous white hydrangeas to the high arrangements to help them stand out, and the hand cut birch branches that fill the center were perfect for showing how slender and long the vases are. (That's right. Hand cut. Talk about a labor of love.)
Congratulations, Shannon and David!! Thank you so much for having us be a part of this amazing day!
