A Garden Party thrives in wedding design, and we love meeting and working with brides to create the most beautiful, magical spaces on their wedding days. To be so close with our clients has enabled us to build lasting relationships, and we love how we can watch our friends go through different stages of life...namely the miraculous walk into motherhood!
It's a beautiful thing to be a part of a couple's wedding day, and then to see them taking the next step in becoming a family. So today we focus on some of A Garden Party's maternity sessions and baby showers!
Tami Melissa, photographer
Tami is one of our beloved friends and a fellow wedding vendor. She is an incredibly talented wedding photographer, who we have worked on numerous events with. Her husband, Ryan, is her second shooter, and they have a relationship that would put a Nicholas Sparks novel to shame. Seriously, they are the best. We were so happy when we heard that they were expecting, because who could be better parents than a couple who works together AND plays together? Talk about a dream team! Tami's maternity photos were taken by Hello Gorgeous Photography...Tami's stamp of approval on Hello Gorgeous just proves how skilled they are!
Tami's plane-themed baby shower was hosted at Brio, and we loved all of her cute details! Our dedicated friend of course took all of these photos herself :)
We used blue mercury vases for the centerpieces, and filled them with green hydrangea, eryngium, Queen Anne's lace, daisies, and some greenery.
No detail was forgotten, and you can tell by the mini candy globes and wooden plane accents. Our girl came prepared!
Here is our chalkboard, customized to match Tami's travel theme. We love that the gift table was labeled "Luggage Drop-Off."
We couldn't resist adding in this cute teddy bear, complete with his leather jacket, aviators and flying cap!
Adding in this hand-drawn map was the perfect added detail to fit the decor.
It's all about the little things! We were so proud of our "clothespin planes" made to string across the front of the gift table.
We love a good photo-op!
The glowing mother-to-be!
Former Bride, Holly
Holly is one of those diamond clients that every vendor dreams and hopes for. A gorgeous winter bride, we became fast friends because she is one of the sweetest, generous, most caring people we've known. When Holly and her husband, John, first announced that they were expecting, we were overjoyed for them. She requested some floral jewelry for her maternity session and pulled it off flawlessly. When she shared the photos from Rachel McCalley, our jaws dropped a little - talk about effortless beauty!
Holly's necklace was made from an assortment of succulents to create a completely unique and one of a kind statement piece.
Why stop with jewelry? We went all out with the accessories, and pictured here is her floral belt. The soft purples and greens from the succulents were a natural match to her dress.
And now to celebrate baby John! Holly's baby shower at The ChopHouse Restaurant was full of all things blue, and we loved how she combined her sweet and feminine style to match a baby boy themed shower.
Here is our chalkboard again! This time it's set up at the dessert table, and made to announce John's name and due date. Love those cute little onesies!
These chalkboard cube vases were the perfect accents for this shower theme. We filled them with an arrangement of hydrangeas, peonies, and blue eryngium.
Holly ordered these blue wreaths to anticipate her new son's arrival. We love the blue and white checkered wrap to go with varied clusters of blue and green shades of silk flowers.Rachel Pearlman, Photographer
Rachel is another vendor friend of ours, and when she asked to collaborate with us for her baby shower, we knew it was going to be something really special. She brings out the best of our creative side, and defines the term "Pinterest-worthy." Plus, we couldn't wait to decorate for a baby girl! You can get a feel for Rachel's photography style with these photos below - every image is so delicate and elegant. Every time her name comes up for an upcoming wedding, we do a celebratory fist pump, she is that good. Take a look at her baby shower decor, taken at her amazing home.
This was our favorite part! Rachel's take on the travel theme was very feminine, and we made this garland to pretty up the globe a bit.
These paper flowers were no joke! The whole A Garden Party team - and some fellow vendor friends - pitched in to make these to decorate the straws for guests, and we scattered the spares around the house.
For the dining table, we couldn't help but go all out with our gold sequined linen! More pink tapered candles, bud vases, and pillar candles made up the centerpiece, and some greenery hanging from her light fixture brought the whole look together.
Our vintage suitcases and succulents helped bring in some more neutral tones amidst all of the pink and gold - we didn't want to completely overwhelm baby Pearlman with all of our bling!
It just wouldn't be right not to have a few lanterns! Our growing rental inventory has proven to be very handy lately!
We want to thank these lovely ladies for inviting us to help celebrate their growing families. We love you almost as much as we love seeing pictures of all of your beautiful babies! XOXO
