Cape May Wedding Florist : Sean & Chase at the Beach Club feat. Bride Diaries
Sean and Chase's Beach Club wedding was one of our biggest events of the year. Being a private venue, the Beach Club gave us an almost blank slate to work with, and took our full force of creative (and physical!) energy to bring Sean's vision to life.
Sean had a ton of artists in her family and background, and we loved collaborating with them to come up with a very uniqe and aesthetic presentation, that was also filled with sentiment and love. Sean was a joy to work with, and her enthusiasm for her wedding never faltered despite the stresses of planning - even when thunderstorms started rolling in the whole morning and afternoon of her wedding day! Thankfully, (literally...no, literally) as soon as guests started to arrive, the storm broke and the sun came bursting through. Having the AMAZING Renee, from Events by Renee, as a wedding coordinator really made the whole day flow with ease despite the minor panic attacks that may or may not have started to kick in when the rain came.
This was our first time working with Rach Loves Troy Photography, and we are blown away by their work! This dynamic couple did a wonderful job in documenting the details of this Cape May Wedding, and we were thrilled to see how all of our hard work paid off. And we weren't the only ones! The very reputable Style Me Pretty were also impressed, just featured Sean and Chase's wedding day on their website, raving over the "seaside lovely" details.
Don't just take our word - check it out, below!
Sean's bridal bouquet was made with giant blush peonies, pink and white garden roses, white lisianthus, dusty miller and a touch of greenery.
What an angelic bride! For Sean's hair flowers, we used pale pink ranunculus, a pink spray rose, peony bud, and greenery.
Sean's bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink peonies, pink roses, white spray roses, cream lisianthus, and white orlaya.
Here's Chase, looking good and showing off his spray rose bout.
Chase's groomsmen and ringbearer wore coordinating bouts - which went perfectly with their blue jackets. Plus, how great are those shoes??
Sean gets ready to surprise Chase for their First Look along the walkway at Congress Hall.
These two are such a romantic couple!
We are obsessed with this shot of Sean's hair flowers! What a perfect final touch for her beachy bridal look.
This archway made with curly willow, eucalyptus, ferns, vines, peonies, hydrangea and roses greeted guests as they entered the ceremony space.
Sean and Chase's aisle arrangements were our brass lanterns with bud vases, each placed on a woodslice to level out the sand.
It was Sean's father who provided this chuppah, which we decorated with curly willow, lace panels, and corner pieces of peonies and roses.
Each of Sean's nine bridesmaids wore their hair in varying styles, and we love how the hair flowers accentuate the different looks.
Some freehand chalk art welcomed guests into the reception space - this was a replica of Sean and Chase's invitation logo.
Of course we needed to use our favorite driftwood vase for this artsy, beach-themed wedding!
Sean's mom was incredibly talented and detail-oriented, and put together this placecard table. We add some flourishes with silver mercury votives, and corner pieces of roses, peonies, spray roses, dusty miller and greenery.
One of the coolest aspects from Sean and Chase's wedding, was the lounge area they wanted us to create by the bar. We provided end tables and seating around firepits for a little "S'mores Station." We accented the space with milk glass vases, filled with peonies, hydrangea, and ranunculus.
The reception space for the couple was right on the sand - fitting for the beach loving couple! String lights, white linens and blush centerpieces brought the whole space together.
Sean had decided on three different types of centerpieces. Here is our silver compote on a wood slice, filled with hydrangea, garden roses, ranunculus, astilbe, greenery, and spray roses. Our cute little table numbers were the perfect fit!
The third and final style centerpiece was our silver lantern, placed in a floral ring. This lantern is one of our favorite rental items, check out that intricate detail!
We went all out for Sean and Chase's sweetheart table. We really wanted to give them the absolute perfect place to sit and admire all of their planning coming together. Here is the back of our new grey loveseat, with added "Mr. & Mrs." signs strung along the back, and accented with florals and ribbon.
A pink linen from Let's Do Linens was a subtle standout against all the white of the reception - this burlap runner with lace overlay proved to be a great selection to match the rest of the theme.
We decorated the rest of the sweetheart table with a piece of driftwood, and scattered silver mercury votives and vases, pillar candles, and pink garden roses with peach stock to bring the whole look together.
Last but not least is this GORGEOUS Destiny Dawn's Desserts cake, complete with garden roses, spray roses, and touches of hydrangea (the baker insisted on applying the flowers herself, thank goodness!)
Congratulations, Sean and Chase!!! Wishing you all the best, and endless sunny beach days!!

What was the most standout, "Wow!" moment of your wedding day?
Looking at all of our small handmade signs, menus, tables, etc. come together. It was also amazing to see the amazing sweetheart table that Mary surprised us with. It was beyond beautiful and romantic.
We know things don't always go as planned...Were there any entertaining wedding bloopers?
We had a MAJOR thunder storm the day of the wedding so we were a little worried for that, but about an hour before the wedding started, the sun came out and it was perfect
Any wedding toasts that made you laugh til you cried? Cry your eyes out? Gasp in shock?
My sister and the best man had amazing speeches. They were so personal and brought up old funny memories and stories.
We don't judge! Did you have any Bridezilla moments of weakness?
I was actually pretty calm!! Even with I was getting my makeup done and there were bolt of lightening, I just knew no matter what that everything would work out.
Did you have a wedding planner? If so, what did he/she do to make your day run smoother? Did they fulfill your expectations?
We did - Renee! Mary recommended her :) She made the day run smoothly and made the timing work out well. Everything flowed well and had a great time.
Cake or cupcakes? What was the flavor and theme?
Cake, cookies, mini pies, and s'mores at the firepits! It was a ton of fun. The cake was a lemon cake with vanilla frosting. it was very simple, and had some flowers scattered around it for decor.
We always try to bring your floral dreams to life...did we succeed? In what ways? Is there any room for improvement?
YES! It was so perfect. Everything that I wanted. Rustic, beachy, beautiful and understated. The colors were amazing and completely exceeded my expectations. The venue we used was completely transformed because of all of the things mary brought it and all of the floral displays she created.
What song really got the party started?
The first some that comes to mind is when I walked down the aisle to Somewhere Over the Rainbow!
