DIY Wedding Flowers : Lindsay & John at a Private Residence

Lindsay and John were two of our favorite clients in 2016.  Their easy-going nature and wildflower style made them easy and enjoyable to work with.  Lindsay was one of our DIY Brides, so of course these photos are a special treat for us to see since she and her family/friends were the actual designers for this wedding!

Katie Schmitt was the photographer for this wedding, and we are absolutely drooling over the dramatic, romantic mood that these images provide.  She did an amazing job in eccentuating the details that Lindsay so carefully constructed for her wedding day.

Lindsay was a wildflower-lover, so we reciped a mix of solidago, kale, stock, lisianthus, Queen Anne's Lace and veronica for her to arrange for her bridal bouquet.

These delicate floral crowns are just as popular as the bigger statement pieces, and we loved how they went with the intimate backyard farm theme.

John and his groomsmen wore tan suits, so the touch of color in their bouts were subtle but noticeable.

A moment together before the groom saw his bride down the aisle!

We love the altar arrangements Lindsay and her team designed.  Huge leaves of kale, hydrangea, ruscus and larkspur were pretty and wild.

We provided garlands of ruscus that the couple installed themselves to the ceiling of their tented wedding.  Paired with cafe string lights, this was a gorgeous, enchanted look.

Lindsay and John's centerpieces were split into two styles.  One style had scattered glass bud vases with simple stems of lisianthus and wildflowers.  The other was a garland of ruscus that was lined with elevateved votive candles for a romantic feel.

How cute is this sweetheart table set up??  A small table and bench provided a rustic look for the newlyweds to dine at, complete with candlelight, a lace runner and plenty of greenery.

Congratulations, Lindsay and John! We are so impressed with your DIY skills!

Lindsay's Bride Diaries

What was your most dreamlike moment?

My most dreamlike moment was realzing at the end of the night how perfect everything turned out and I remember just soaking up the moment and being so happy.

What was your favorite decor detail from your wedding day?

The centerpieces and the greenery hanging from the ceiling of the tent gave the wedding an "enchanted" feel which was exactly what I was going for.  Everyone at the wedding was telling me, "THis was not what we expected when you said farm wedding, this looks like it came out of a magazine!"

We always try to bring your floral dreams to life...did we succeed?  In what ways?  Is there any room for improvement?

You made all my dreams come true, being able to rent antique items to go along with our theme made this decor very possible.  I could not have done this without you and I am so thankful I found you!
