Elizabeth and Asad's wedding at the brand new Icona Diamond Beach in Wildwood, NJ was a special treat for us. We were so excited when we heard this venue was opening over the summer, and even more thrilled to book a few weddings there! We love working down the shore - the easy parking, the easy-going brides, the smell of the salty air...and of course, the incredible photo opportunities these shore locations provide.
We got a little giddy when we saw Michelle Lange would be the photographer for this wedding. Her talent is always so apparent in her work. She turns our hard labor and art into art of her own, and we are so grateful for her attention to all of the details of the decor. You can see from these images that her clients must obviously feel so relaxed, elegant and natural in front of her lens - or at least she does a great job at making them look that way!
Enjoy this gorgeous collection of photographs, below!
We get a lot of requests for blush floral arrangements, so we always try to add in new twists and different blooms to keep them interesting and unique. Elizabeth's desire for touches of lavender helped turn this arrangement into something beautifully wild.
Elizabeth's bridesmaids wore serenity blue gowns, perfect for this less-formal beach wedding. The girls carried smaller bouquets with a more rounded look. We added specialty beaded ribbon wrap for a extra touch.
The men wore simple bouts of white spray roses and waxflower - we loved their fun bow ties!
Our willow twig arch made an appearance at the couple's ceremony. We intertwined vines and layers of smilax before clustering groups of roses, spray roses and dahlias for a gorgeous display that the couple would pronounce their vows in.
This pretty white tent with wood beams is a permanent structure attached to Icona's building. This is a huge deal for a venue like this, since it provides not only gorgeous, shaded reception seating for guests, but a gorgeous rain plan as well! The risk with event venues that have such great use of the outdoors is their exposure to the elements - thankfully, Icona is the best of both worlds!
Scattered mercury gold bud vases were filled with dahlias, astilbe, roses, ferns and greenery. Added pieces of driftwood, lanterns and gold mercury candles made for a sweet and whimsical centerpiece arrangement.
Crisp white linens with white-washed chairs and floors made for a clean, beachy look.
We added vines of smilix around the sweetheart table and accent tables for some pops of color and to continue Elizabeth's vision for a softer look.
Yummy! We dressed up this naked cake with a cascading group of roses, dahlias and hydrangea.
Congratulations, Elizabeth and Asad! Wishing you many more summers of walks on the beach!
